i saw somewhere on a forum that you can build up oil pressure by pressing the gas and turning on the ignition to crank the engine and push the oil in the engine before it starts up do y’all think this could work i have an old ford crown victoria

Add 5oz of hot shots stiction eliminator along with the Lucas.

It's the timing chain and cam phasers out of alignment. Cost is around $3k to repair at dealer.

Good to know as mine rattles only on the driver's side even with 15/40 full synthetic as apposed to 5/30. I'll try half a bottle of Lucas and see. Then full bottle if it helps but still rattles.

A little late to the party! But you said your turbos were 15 psi, I’ve also got a 2011 3.5 eco boost, is 15 the stock psi? I don’t have anything done to my turbos or exhaust like your truck (assuming you have the same truck in 2024)

Its a bad product. Been proven to increase engne wear by jo gibbs. Better off running a thicker oil than adding this to thicken it.

I wouldn't be using a thickener - just go to a thicker grade of oil 10W30 or straight weight 30 - and if you live in a hot climate then 15W40 but putting a thickener in there you might be asking for trouble but one thing you must do and that is DON"T neglect your oil changes!! - Gauge your oil condition like this -When you cannot see the hash marks on your dip stick its time to change the oil Because of the poor engine design you must think out side the box and do the changes sooner that later where the engineers are concerned - but useing that thickener is going to plug up your oil filter a lot faster and then you're back to square one. The proper fix is to get the updated Phazers from ford. Just food for thought for ya

Did you have any vibration problems? I have same kit on my 2024 and it vibrates a lot when i get to highway speed 65MPH +

My 2012 F 150 has this issue and I had the timing chain done in 2020. My rise has 97,000 on it. So I am going to try this before taking this to shop. How is your pickup doing now? Do you have to add this stabilizer with every oil Change?

well your f150 deffinetly doesnt sound like a stock f150 of that model year.. so doesnt help with figuring out what the problem is

I have a F-150 2013 eco boost and having the same issue. I actually started in 2015 for me maybe once a month it would happen and has gradually gotten worse. I only use synthetic oil with my oil changes. Will try this Lucas product. I also used another product called ATS Chemical 505 CRO oil treatment WOW cleaned the oil and my gas mileage came back to when I first bought the truck and fixed the rattle for 4 months so I know for sure its the oil issue and not the timing chain. The 505 can be used on every other oil change, will use Lucas product and let you know how it works out.

Not a good idea to use for people in colder climates.

It doesn't fix nothing, I've been using Lucas since I got mine and after a few miles on it, it'll start to rattle again...was at 136k miles has 256k on it now...still does same thing although it does quieten down for a while..

Replace all the phasers and timing chains and the problem will go away. Use OEM parts as they have been upgraded from the manufacturer

You still have this truck? Will a rough supercharger for a 2020 f150 5.0 work on a 2016 5.0? I found a used one
